Fruit Smoothie Bowl Recipe


This is a delicious and healthy breakfast recipe that you can totally customize to your liking! If you want to switch out any of the fruits for different alternatives, the choice is yours! The key to a thick smoothie bowl is to cut a fresh banana the night before and put it in the freezer. Using a frozen fresh banana and little liquid will make a thick smoothie bowl!


Makes: 1 smoothie bowl


- 1 1/3 cup frozen berry mixture 

- 1 frozen fresh banana

- 1/3 cup yogurt or a liquid of your choice



- 1 banana

- 1 kiwi

- Other fruits of your liking

- Granola

- Chia Seeds


  1. Blend together the frozen fruit, banana, and yogurt. I use a frozen fruit mixture of strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and spinach. Any mixture of fruit will work and it is fun to experiment with new fruits. Mix on low, stirring in between occasionally. I find it helps to also pulse the smoothie. Pour into a bowl and top with your favourite fruits and granola!


To make it a Chocolate and Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie Bowl:

Blend together 2 frozen fresh bananas, 1/3 cup blueberries (optional, or just add another half banana), 1/4 cup chocolate milk (or yogurt of your choice), 2 tablespoons peanut butter, and 1 tablespoon of cocoa powder. Top with a banana and granola.
