This plant is great to have around too, as the juice from their leaves can be used to relieve pain from scrapes and burns when applied topically. The aloe vera plant needs a location that offers bright, indirect sunlight. Water aloe vera plants deeply, but infrequently, about every 3 weeks.

Please note: The juice from the aloe vera leaves can be used topically but should not be ingested by people or pets because it can cause unwanted symptoms such as nausea or indigestion.
